Kostas Georgopoulos

PhD candidate

Kostas is a fresh MSc graduate specializing in soil biology, with a BSc background in agriculture  and natural resource management. His interest and fascination in soil biodiversity led him to work as a PhD candidate in the university of Leiden. Today he is focusing his topic in restoring soil biodiversity and soil functions to gain multiple benefits in new forests as a part of the Silva Nova project.


His hobbies include skiing, building and fixing computers and constructing gadgets.

"My hobby of constructing gadgets is sometimes very handy at work when equipment is lacking. I love getting inspiration from other peoples designs and combining them with my own ideas to make something functional".
